Let the higher beings guide me and not try to force anything to happen This is sometimes easier said than done.     Hi I’m Chris from California and I’m looking forward to trying to stay more present in an extremely, full on stressful time of my life. I’ve lived a good life but we all face extreme times as the waves of life continue and these years are those.

    I saw another person’s comment on missing her mother – I’m also missing my mother on this day — she was an imperfect soul as we all are but we had wonderful times together on hikes, trips and other mother/daughter outings. I miss her often.

    I live near Chicago. Modeling Mindfulness helps me bring a vital resource to the people I teach/and learn from. Any number of mental illnesses are made worse by the guilt of living in the past and anxiety about the future. Staying in the present moment and feeling safe is the Loving Kindness meditation I lead. I am jumping in with both feet!

    My work as a psychologist means i teach Mindfulness and give a lot of myself every day – but you cant pour from an empty cup !! So I’m looking forward to looking after myself, filling up the cup again and as I “fill up” when I’m in community, I am looking forward to sharing in this community just as much as Im looking forward to the mindfulness meditations !

    My intention is to quiet myself and truly listen;
    To remain grounded and open;
    To live from my heart and from my authentic self;
    To work with my triggers and settle my “anger-turned-inward” by focusing on my humaness, the fact that I am not perfect, and by redirecting those thoughts to rest upon the depth of gratitude I hold for life, itself.
