About Dr. Rick Hanson

Rick Hanson, Ph.D., is a psychologist, Senior Fellow of the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley, and New York Times best-selling author. His books are available in 26 languages and include Hardwiring Happiness, Buddha’s Brain, Just One Thing, and Mother Nurture. He edits the Wise Brain Bulletin and has numerous audio programs. A summa cum laude graduate of UCLA and founder of the Wellspring Institute for Neuroscience and Contemplative Wisdom, he’s been an invited speaker at NASA, Oxford, Stanford, Harvard, and other major universities, and taught in meditation centers worldwide.     Thank you Rick! I loved this session! Neurons that fire together wire together! we are what we pay attention to. This is so important! The importance of the cycle: what the mind dwells on gradually fills your heart and, your mind is inclined to what is in the heart. I really enjoyed it.

    I enjoyed this talk immensely, especially hearing about the scientific basis for the ideas. I would like to hear more about how the practice applies to people with psychological conditions such as ADHD and GAD.
