How do you explain the pinnacle of success Donald Trump has achieved who demonstrates none of these leadership principles?
That would logically lead to the summation that a large percentage of the population does not practice mindfulness.
Fleet, as a lifelong learner myself, your contribution to this week’s summit is FANTASTIC!
I can take leadership of my own life 1st, wherever I am: the 7 principles of influence, regular mindful practice and together, responses with mindful emotional intelligence, all of which invoke a “spirit of mastery”. A wholehearted thank you.
Very powerful, thank you.
Thank you for this insight to mindful leadership, it has made me aware of different triggers at work and different ways to approach them. As a newcomer to mindfulness and meditation, I feel that I may benefit from the Radical Responsibility course – would it be possible for the discount to be applied to that course? Thank you.
Hi Naomi,
Please reach out the my assistant, Nicholas, with this request: fmaullassistant@gmail.com. Tell him to reach out to me about your request and mention Mindful Living Week.
All the best,
Fleet
It is clear to me that a person in a leadership position that doesn’t meditate does not belong there. I wish more “leaders” around the world would be more aware of this (and also non leaders). There is so much work to do for all of us. I really enjoyed the 7 principles, they are familiar to me. However, it was new to me to learn that our long term memory holds more negative than positive experiences and that to turn that around I need to hold for 20 to 40 seconds my positive experiences. I am very thankful for the excercise to feel safe, resourced and connected.
To reply to the 1st comment…Trump is a figurehead not a leader, with few to zero leadership skills which makes for dangerous times. This make it even more important for all of us to do the best we can to fill the gap and live the challenges of this talk. Thank you Fleet for your clear- headed and sensible guidance and encouragement.
Wow! A wonderful surprise. I thought because he/you were a moderator, that was the only time I would hear you in this Mindful Living Week. I had left a response yesterday that I knew there was more for me to learn on embodiment. With this talk the next step came with interoception awareness while doing mindfulness. Then yesterday I commented about my poor air quality and Fleet had me laughing out loud as I saw myself in the drama triangle being the victim, only my rescuer said how much do you want to blame 60% 40%. I had several times said to myself “What are you going to do? But somehow when I had to use my inhaler I would fall back into the victim mode with no creative solutions. I actually listened to Acharya Fleet Maull two times. I plan to google for lists of codes of ethics and models of social awareness tools. This talk feels like a blessing. Thank you.
Really liked this talk and the several practices which were so helpful. Sweet spirited presenter.Thank you!
Thank you…….great talk
Our /my world is more free when i take personal responsibility and allow appreciation to inform my moments. Thank you for this healing work.
One of my favourite teachers, thank you!
Thank you very much. How do you define success in your model?
Hi Nidea,
I think it is up to each person to define success for themselves. At the same time, I feel it has something to do with actualizing ourselves and living true to our highest purpose.
