I am from Long Beach, CA and my intention is to practice Mindfulness daily by PAYING ATTENTION. I commit to taking ten breaths when I am feeling stressed, distracted or overwhelmed. I also want to be present when I am eating and when I am driving. When the phone rings, I will take a moment to acknowledge my Presence before answering.

    Hello from Germany!

    The intention – for the good of all – is;

To deepen training on bare attention,

To continue establishing wise thought, wise speech and wise action,

    To develop compassion further,

To train right view and to enable further insight into true nature of reality.

    xx

May every human being, rise their spiritual consciusness & awaken, sustain and express their intrinsic values on their daily journey of life, to empower themselves in order to overcome any weakness on their mental, emotional, verbal & performance level. This is the secret key to be happy, to avoid and relieve suffering.

so good to see the posts from all over the world. I live in an old fashioned seaside town called Bognor (West Sussex, England) .
It tends to be the subject of teasing partly because of its name etc but living 5 minutes from the sea is wonderful, a timeless old friend
It helps me keep my life simple, so I hope nature can help you and others on their inindful path

I am from San Antonio, TX.
My intention is to bring my daily sitting meditation into every day life. I tend to let my thoughts overrun me, taking me on tangents due to all the things I have to do and eventually leading me to a place where I’m flustered, irritated, and done. I would also like to become more aware of my body, my emotions. How does anger feel, sadness, joy, happiness to me? I would also like to work on opening myself to my emotions, especially to allowing myself to express myself emotionally (for a long time I created a culture for myself that I can’t show emotions because I don’t want to be like the stereotype of women who are overly emotional and considered weak).
I look forward to what the seminars will bring (:

I am from Salem, Ohio. My intention is to remain in the moment and remember I do not have control over everything. I am going to try and remember to come back here and listen/read every day. I am thankful I have this option.

    Thank you

I am Wilma from Ohio. I make an intention to stay in the moment. To always allow myself to stay awakened to life! To not allow myself to just let life happen to me. To stay focused on what I believe God is doing in my life. Not be distracted by things that are not my business. To be intentional about doing what I need to do for myself and others. To be mindful in what I’m learning right now. To take what I’m learning to others with great intention!

I would like to be mindful about what I’m eating. About what my body needs and not. Be mindful of my thoughts.

Thank you for all I’m learning! It’s like receiving a billion dollars in gold!!!?

Hello from Bay Area California. My intention upon waking this morning was love. I want to be love, to feel love, to see love, to give love, to receive love, to rest in love. When healthy and having enough to live and be relatively safe, I remember love in all its forms. When my life is threatened or my finances mean not having food, etc., I forget. So, my intention is to always remember love. Thank you for your generosity, loving kindness, and transforming my life and the lives of all whom you touch with your generosity, wisdom, and love. May we all be kinder to ourselves and each other.

I live in North Carolina, USA. My intention for the week is to experience as deeply as I can the huge range of personal views and experiences shared by the presenters and other participants. I want to provide an “opening” for me to return to Buddhist practices which I’ve neglected (or just taken a “rest stop” along the way?). Many thanks to all involved….

    Hello from Wellington, New Zealand.
My intention for this week is to unashamedly indulge in those amazing clips by Rick Hanson.
Having been a fan for years, I love the opportunity to watch these small, bite-sized morsels of brilliance and experiment with the actions from this down-to-earth and simultaneously inspirational man.
Thanks so much Rick! Kia ora.

Simply, I intend to open myself to the energy and teachings of the experience of the Mindful Week .
I intend to do ( not do) to BE as connected as I can Be.

Hello from Chapel Hill NC. My motivation for becoming more mindful seems selfish. I want to become more comfortable in my own skin. But I realize there will be some ancillary benefits, including being a better person to those I encounter.

I’m from the UK. I enjoy my job but it creates high levels of tension and stress. These exercises take me to a world of calm and tranquillity. I’m not highly skilled in meditation which leads me to consider what state I might reach and what impact this will have on my life if I continue to practice. Thank you for this mindful living week. I love the exercises. Just need to remember not to fall asleep! Too relaxing ?

Bless you for this fabulous effort. I’m terrible at keeping up with these online seminar things but even the small bits that I do attend to are enriching. Thank you. Oh, I’m on Maui. We have volcanoes here but they are quiet, unlike the one on Hawai’i island.
